Rihanna does it on ’em again. Claiming her fashion crown, the pop diva flaunted her flawless figure with confidence as she stepped out in a see-through, sparkling full-length gown at the 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday.
Held at New York’s Lincoln Center, RiRi bared her goods in a custom-made show-stopper, which was designed by Adam Selman and covered with 216,000 Swarovski crystals.
Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour presented the “Stay” singer with the 2014 Fashion Icon Award. Previous honorees have included Lady Gaga, Kate Moss, Nicole Kidman, and Johnny Depp.
“Growing up fashion was a defense mechanism,” said Rihanna while accepting the honor. “As a child I remember saying: she can beat me but she can’t beat my outfit.”
Solange attended her first red carpet event since the infamous elevator video, rocking a sequined Calvin Klein dress, while Jennifer Hudson was chic in a black gown by KaufmanFranco.
