Mya is a R&B singer, record producer, and actress. “It’s All About Me” served as the first single from her eponymous debut studio album, and was recorded as a duet with R&B singer Sisqó. The song was written and composed by Sisqó and Darryl Pearson, who also served as producer. It features an interpolation of the composition “Moments in Love” by Art of Noise.
The single became a top ten hit on Billboard’s Hot 100 peaking and spending three consecutive weeks at No. 6. It reached No. 2 on the Hot R&B Singles chart. “It’s All About Me” remains Mya’s biggest and highest charting single to date on the Hot R&B Singles chart. The music video features dance routines that were choreographed by Mya herself. She also designed her own outfit- a red Japanese traditional kimono. The video also finds Mya performing a strip tease and fencing with Sisqó after they meet following a concert from Sisqó’s group, Dru Hill. Enjoy the video above!
