Marsha Ambrosius is answering fans prayers this week with the release of her anticipated sophomore album Friends & Lovers.
The follow-up to 2011’s acclaimed Late Nights & Early Mornings, has been an extremely personal work in progress for the singer-songwriter who found all her inspiration through various relationships over the past few years. Led by the heartfelt single “Run” and hip hop inspired remake of Sade’s “Stronger Than Pride,” which now features Dr. Dre, the project boasts 16 tracks, including a feature from Charlie Wilson on the ballad “Spend All My Time.”
“It’s me being Marsha Ambrosius 100% with a new album,” she told YKIGS about the album. “I think I spent too much time creating moments that people go through and I had to live it. I don’t microwave the music, I’m in the kitchen cooking. Some meat has to marinate overnight, I can’t just throw it in there and it’s ready because you’ll be hungry again in five minutes.”
Well, Marsha is now serving listeners with a special preview of the entire LP!
The wait is over, take a listen to the full album stream below, and pick up the album on iTunes now!
