Throwback Tuesday: New Edition – I’m Still In Love With You

By

New Edition is a R&B group who formed in Boston in 1978. The group reached its height of popularity during the 1980s. They were the progenitors of the boy band movement of the ’80s and ’90s.

“I’m Still in Love with You” was the second single from the group as a sextet from their sixth studio album Home Again. Ralph Tresvant and Ricky Bell sing lead vocals with all six members singing background throughout the song. It was a big success on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 7, and was the second single to be certified gold from the Home Again project.

On July 3, 2011 in New Orleans, Louisiana, all six members of New Edition reunited at the Essence Music Festival to kick off and celebrate their 30th anniversary tour. Over the years New Edition have toured separately as subgroups Bell Biv DeVoe and Head of State, but are currently touring together with all six members! Enjoy the video above.
