XO met SNL on Saturday as The Weeknd joined Ariana Grande as her special guest on the season premiere of “Saturday Night Live.”
The pop diva helped kicked off the new season of the sketch comedy show, which is celebrating it’s 40th Anniversary this year, along with host Chris Pratt.
Grande hit the stage belting out an acapella rendition of her hit single “Break Free” before breaking into a choreographed dance number for the Zedd-produced single. But the pint sized starlet had a big surprise for the audience when she brought out The Weeknd to perform their new collaboration “Love Me Harder” for the first time.
The Max Martin-produced song will be the next official single off her sophomore album My Everything, which is currently available for free on Google Play.
