With less than a week to go until the release of her anticipated debut album, Jhené Aiko got an early start on the New York radio promo with a visit to Angie Martinez’ new show on Power 105.
To begin their chat Angie asked the petite songstress about her small frame and if being called skinny can be just as hurtful as being called fat. The angelic voiced singer spoke about her family’s musical and artistic influence on her, the stress of being a young mother and an artist at the same time, if she pays any attention to gossip about her, keeping business and family separate – specifically not working with her sister Mila J – and how she just recently found out how to properly pronounce her own middle name.
Additionally, Jhené talked about her forthcoming album Souled Out, her soft tone and picking tracks that compliment her voice the most and much more.
