The 2014 AT&T Nation’s Football Classic went down this past weekend in Washington, D.C. The annual weekend spectacular was created to celebrate the passion and tradition of the college football experience; recognize the history of service to others by the students, faculty and alumni of historically black colleges and universities; highlight the unity of African-American culture; and honor the heritage and excellence of these proud institutions.
Prior to the big game on Saturday, featuring Morehouse College vs. Howard University, the official Kickoff Rally was held on Friday night at D.C.’s famed 9:30 Club. Included amongst the featured performers was R&B leader Miguel, who treated the live audience to a set of his favorite hits including “All I Want Is You,” “Sure Thing” and “Adorn.”
During Saturday’s activities, some of R&B’s newest stars, including Adrian Marcel, Eric Bellinger and Jeremih, performed for event goers.
