Following his performance on the TODAY show early Friday morning, Usher continued his NYC gigs with a private show for Australian radio network Nova FM’s Red Room Global Tour. Held at famed nightclub Marquee, Usher put on a tantalizing, intimate show for some lucky fans.
During his set he performed an acoustic version of his latest hit single “She Came To Give It To You.” Rocking all black with black shades, and singing into an all gold mic, the R&B superstar delivered a jazzy breakdown of the funky song, with a beatnik vibe.
During a sit-down interview with VIBE magazine while in town, Usher revealed how his new collabo with Drake came about, and shared some brief info about it. “He touched on some pretty…personal stuff,” Usher said of Drake’s verse. “It definitely is one of those really really cool, vibey records.”
