This fall, Anthony Hamilton released his first ever Christmas album, Home For The Holidays, via RCA Records. The festive LP finds Hamilton crooning his way through some of the season’s most beloved holiday classics with his signature tone, and features six original tracks including, “Spend Christmas With You,” “Coming Home,” “‘Tis The Season,” “Spirit of Love,” “It’s Christmas,” and the title track “Home for the Holidays.”
Hamilton approached the project with the same sophistication and delivery he is respected for, with his past studio albums.
“This album is for the people who really love the holidays and what feelings they bring. For the families that get together and love a good time,” said Anthony. “I feel like some of the things we enjoy most, we can only feel with our hearts. Having an emotional connection to this project was essential because I want my fans to be moved by the music and associate each song with a time where no other feeling mattered but love.”
We recently caught up with the soulful crooner for a special edition of our live acoustic series at StadiumRed Studios in Harlem, New York. For his set, Anthony performed two of the original songs off the album, “Tis The Season,” and the title track “Home for the Holidays.”
Accompanied by his tour pianist and backup singer, Hamilton gracefully performed each song with the class, gritty soulful nuances, and old school precision that he delivers on stages worldwide.
