New UK songstress Maiday is hitting ThisIsRnB with her debut single, “Wish You’d Met Me First“!
Produced by Jimmy Hogarth – who worked with the late Amy Winehouse – the new single tells a story of a woman explaining the hurt and pain of being “friend zoned.” Singing out, “What if my love runs a river deeper than hers? / My timing, my timing is my curse / I wish you’d met me first,” Maiday finds a way to accept that she has to love the man of her dreams from a distance.
Surely a track that anyone can relate to, “Wish You’d Met Me First” has us interested to see the direction of her 2015 debut EP.
