BJ The Chicago Kid finds inspiration everywhere, and for his latest video release he has done something unexpected with his sultry song “Strawberry Bubblegum.”
Cutting scenes from Hype Williams’ seminal movie Belly to create a different story, the One Take TV and Davy Greenberg project gives the movie a new look, and almost modern feel.
BJ’s soulful vocals are found to be a perfect match for the vivid cinematography, but the video itself is a great piece of nostalgia for one of hip-hop’s most revered films.
