Adrian Marcel has been on a roll, continuing to impress and gain new fans with every release. With his debut album ‘Got Me F’ed Up‘ due out later this year, the rising R&B star brings us the final round in his “Weak” mixtape series with, ‘Weak After Next: Reloaded.’
Featuring a full project’s worth of new songs, mixed in with a few favorites from 2014’s original ‘Weak After Next,’ the mixtape includes features from Kelly Rowland, Pusha T, and Casey Veggies, along with production by Raphael Saadiq, Harmony Samuels, Fat Boi, Vinylz, Bam, and more.
“Ultimately, I have always wanted my music to express every side of me, as I’m not a one-dimensional person or artist,” Marcel tells FADER. “Sometimes, I like to turn up, sometimes I like to turn down and be more introspective. Therefore, this mixtape just completes the story and demonstrates who I am in this very moment. My end goal is keep growing as both an artist and person.”
Indeed he has, and the 19-track project continues to prove why Adrian Marcel is one of the dopest new voices in today’s R&B.
