If you turned on the radio and heard the brand new single “Dip” by soulstress Lina (Shelina Wade) you might think you flipped to the oldies station, but while the single might sound like it’s straight out of the late ’60s, it is certainly a goodie.
The vintage soul style record is the first release off her upcoming fifth album due out this Summer via Soulside Productions/Topnotch Music. While she never reached mainstream success, some may remember Lina from her critically acclaimed 2001 Atlantic Records debut Stranger On Earth, which spawned four singles, including the fan favorite “It’s Alright.”
