Brownstone is a R&B group that was popular during the mid-1990s. Founded in Los Angeles, the three original members, Monica “Mimi” Doby, Charmayne “Maxee” Maxwell and Nichole “Nicci” Gilbert, met each other after attending various auditions around the city. Kina Cosper replaced Dolby on their second album. Less than a year after forming the group, the ladies were signed to Michael Jackson’s MJJ Music label.
“5 Miles To Empty” was a song off their sophomore album Still Climbing. It was another classic single where the ladies asked the fellas to prove their love.
