Right on time, The Weeknd continues to build momentum for his much-anticipated new album Beauty Behind the Madness, due out Aug. 28. The Canadian crooner has already dropped two singles, “The Hills” and “Can’t Feel My Face,” the latter of which is already No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. And tomorrow, he will unleash the music video via Apple Music Connect. In the 25-second teaser, R&B’s new king of seduction stares longingly into the camera while singing into a mic.
In an interview with The New York Times, he spoke about his new album, which is more pop than his previous work.
“It’s about me being who I am and stepping out of my comfort zone to try to feel something else besides what I’ve been feeling the past four years,” he said. “Ups and downs. … In my past albums, there were never ups.”
