Tyrese is on a mission, not just to sell records, but to try and shift today’s habits and culture, and remind people how important a “real” “full” R&B album is. 20 years after he rode the bus in the Coca-Cola commercial that launched his career, the singer/actor got on the bus early Tuesday to help spread his message.
“Sometimes you just gotta take em back to where it ALL STARTED!!!!!! 20 years ago…. I took this ride and it changed my life forever – to God be ALL the Glory…People base “success” of an album on the first week of sales….Let’s make a statement R&B fans…. It’s our turn,” wrote Tyrese.
After singing his new single “Shame” Ty took a moment to further explain, “It’s OK to be a dreamer, it’s OK to think big, it’s OK to dream beyond your reality… ‘Black Rose’ I’m not going to rest until it’s #1 on Billboard R&B and #1 on the Top 200, it’s OK to dream big,” he said.
