The grind don’t stop for the gifted Teyana Taylor. Following her long-awaited debut album VII last year, TT has returned with a 90s inspired mixtape entitled “The Cassette Tape 1994.”
The G.O.O.D. Music singer takes it back to her favorite era of R&B with the 5-track project, which includes a nostalgic blend of samples from the likes of Bell Biv DeVoe, and Tony! Toni! Toné!, with production by her mentor Kanye West (“Your Wish”), Da Internz (“Touch Me”), and J.R. Rotem (“Undercover”). Her boyfriend, Iman Shumpert of the Cleveland Cavaliers, even makes an appearance on “Who’s Gonna Make It Home.”
Teyana is currently on the road playing shows with Chris Brown on his “One Hell of a Nite” tour, which wraps up on Sept. 19.
