These days we expect artists to release new music faster and faster, but when they do take their time and make fans wait we then expect that music to be even more spectacular. In only a few weeks time we have learned that Adele is plotting the release of her much anticipated third studio album, the title will be 25, and it is expected to released in the later half of November.
Now, the British songstress has finally shared some info herself-in the form of a letter to fans.
Taking to Twitter early Wednesday, Adele addressed the impending album, she doesn’t confirm a release date, but she does seem to confirm the title of the album will be 25. “I’m sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened,” she says.
Adele also shares how 25 will differ from 21, the Grammy-winning album that has sold more than 11 million copies in the U.S.: “My last record was a break-up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record. I’m making up with myself. I’m making up for lost time.”
The letter is reflective and Adele writes about realizing that the carefree mind of adolescence and the struggle to succeed is a lot more fun than success itself/being a grown up. “Even following and breaking rules… is better than making the rules,” she writes.
