Last summer, R&B songstress India Shawn released the collaborative remix project RE-WERC with a collective of DJs and producers called Werc Crew. Now, as her first project of 2016, the singer-songwriter has launched ‘The India Shawn Anthology,’ an eight part video series immersing fans and new listeneres in the culture and energy that India has created.
She collaborated with Atlanta director Donny Slater for one week of creating eight unique visuals, each complementing a track from RE-WERC. Collectively, the series showcases various phases of the songbird’s personalities and emotions, bringing them to life on film.
India has already shared the first 3 visuals, for her remixes of James Blake’s “Life Round Here,” Kali Uchis’ “Know What I Want” and Drake’s “Jungle.”
