Fresh off his two Grammys and performance at the BRIT Awards, The Weeknd took the stage at the 88th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday (Feb. 28).
Backed by a string section, Abel performed his Oscar-nominated song “Earned It” off the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack. An aerialist performed moves above the stage, while Abel showed off his vocal flexibility, switching in and out of a falsetto. Meanwhile, scantily-clad dancers channeled the sexy Fifty Shades theme underneath chandeliers.
