Tinashe, SZA, and DeJ Loaf are part of a fashion spread for T: The New York Times Style Magazine’s Spring Women’s Fashion issue featuring some of the freshest female voices in hip-hop and R&B.
In addition to modeling the season’s newest looks in portraits shot by James Robjant, the trio teams up for an acapella remake of “Killing Me Softly With His Song,” the classic made famous by Roberta Flack and then by Lauryn Hill.
Tinashe dons $990 Lemaire earrings and a $1,200 Dior sweater. Fresh off her appearance on Rihanna’s ANTI album, SZA shines in $550 Proenza Schouler earrings and $2,745 Tod’s jacket. DeJ looks striking in $295 Alexander Wang earrings and a $28 Calvin Klein bra. The “Try Me” rapper, who’s working on her debut album, also spits some fresh rhymes in a Fendi bomber jacket.
Rising stars Lord Narf, Empress Of, Abra, and Jean Deaux also appear in the issue, which will be available Feb. 14.
