Mario stopped by Hot 97 again recently, this time for a candid conversation with Nessa. The R&B vocalist opened up about his new music, going independent with his own label (New Citizen), finding love, and what we can expect from his upcoming album, Paradise Cove.
In regards to forging his own path now, and being an indie artist, Mario explained: “You gotta spend money to make money. I think overall I’ve learned so much and made enough mistakes to use them as references going forward.”
As his love life goes, he had settled down with someone, but after that experience didn’t work out he has decided to date “freely.”
“Sometimes I like to just go out and have a good time. I’m not ready to settle down just yet. Not right now.”
Mario recently released the single “I Need More,” the first song lifted off Paradise Cove, which is due out later this year.
