The Weeknd has been making headlines lately for his charitable donations, but his dedicated followers know that he has been locked up in the studio working on new music.
While the Canadian singer has been primarily recording for his next album, there will certainly be some new collaborations on the horizon as well. Abel might have teased one that is due out sooner than you might think too. Taking to his Instagram on Wednesday (Aug. 24), The Weeknd posted an unspecified preview of a record that is rumored to be with producer Cashmere Cat.
The blacked-out video clip is driven by a powerful synth track, and highlighted by Abel’s signature falsetto.
On the post, the singer only added a small cat emoji as the caption. This, of course, has led fans to believe it’s a snippet of Cashmere Cat’s upcoming single “Wild Love,” due Friday, a rumor fueled by a recent tweet and photo of the twosome in the studio.
Although the snippet’s identity remains unconfirmed, Abel is working on the follow-up to last year’s Beauty Behind the Madness.
the first song from my album will be out this friday ?
