The film Hands of Stone hit theaters this past Friday, but Usher is giving us a deeper look at the movie (for those that haven’t seen it yet) with an official lyric video for his duet song “Champions” off the soundtrack.
The visual includes a blend of clips from the movie, unseen behind-the-scenes footage of the R&B star training with legendary boxer Sugar Ray Leonard (whom he portrays), and even brief interview clips from Usher.
It’s certainly not your typical lyric video, and interesting fact, the song was co-written by legendary singer/songwriter/producer Raphael Saadiq.
Hands of Stone is the true story of boxer Roberto Durán, starring Édgar Ramírez, Robert De Niro, Usher, and more.
