In honor of her 36th birthday, Alicia Keys has gifted fans with a brand new song titled “That’s What’s Up.” Over a sample of Kings of Tomorrow’s “So Alive,” which Kanye West famously sampled on his Life of Pablo cut “Low Lights,” the R&B songstress delivers a testimony.
“It feels so good to be free / I wanna thank you Lord for all the love / Time after time, you lifted me up / Lord knows, you’ll never let me down / Now that’s what’s up,” sings Keys on the gospel-inspired track.
The song was accompanied by some personal footage of the birthday girl strolling around her hotel suite in a bathrobe before disrobing and taking a bubble bath.
Earlier this month, Alicia shared the Kaytranada-produced “Sweet F-ing Love.” On February 27 she is set to return as a coach on the next season of NBC’s “The Voice.”
