Vocal powerhouse Jennifer Hudson is making her comeback, and she’s asking do you “Remember Me” on her brand new single!
The Oscar and Grammy Award-winning star is just as commanding as ever on the powerful, heavy-hitting song, which she co-wrote with Jamie Hartman, and serves as the first release from her forthcoming Epic Records debut.
“Nothing you ever say that could drive me away / I’m inside you, I’m inside you / So if you make a mistake let me carry your weight / I’m beside you, I’m beside you,” she belts out before the choir featured chorus.
“As an artist, when I discover music that I connect with deeply, it brings me a sense of excitement that I can’t put into words,” Jennifer said in a press release. “That’s how I feel about ‘Remember Me.’ Everything about it is special – from co-writing it with Jamie, to the recording process, to how it made me feel along the way. I just can’t wait to share it with the world.”
Hudson, who released an album called I Remember Me in 2011, has been working with L.A. Reid and executive producer Clive Davis on her fourth album, and first for Epic Records. She is scheduled to perform the new single for the first time this Sunday (March 5) on “The Voice UK,” where she is currently serving as a coach.
