The BET Awards 17 continues to get hotter and hotter.
Announcing more new surprise additions to the lineup of all-star performers, the network has confirmed today (June 20) that R&B legends Mary J. Blige, Maxwell, El Debarge, and in their first-ever BET Awards performance, Xscape will be hitting the stage!
The newly-added featured performers list continues with rising R&B stars SZA and Khalid, along with rappers A$AP Rocky, French Montana, Gucci Mane, Swae Lee, and musician Kamasi Washington.
The recent additions come greatly welcomed to the already exciting list of previously announced hitmakers including Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, Big Sean, Future, Migos, Trey Songz, Tamar Braxton, New Edition and more.
In addition, Remy Ma and Irv Gotti, actors and comedians Deon Cole, DeRay Davis and Kofi Siriboe, along with the cast of “Detroit” (Algee Smith, Jason Mitchell, Laz Alonso Jacob Latimore) join as presenters at the “BET Awards” 2017. Previously announced presenters include Yara Shahidi, Cardi B, Issa Rae, Jamie Foxx, La La Anthony, the cast of Universal Pictures’ “Girls Trip” (Regina Hall, Tiffany Haddish, with Jada Pinkett Smith and Queen Latifah), Trevor Noah, Robin Thede, Cari Champion and Demetrius Shipp Jr..
BET also revealed iconic R&B group New Edition will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and multi-Grammy Award winning artist, Chance the Rapper, will receive the evening’s Humanitarian Award.
Hosted by stand-up comedian Leslie Jones, the “BET Awards 17” will air live on Sunday, June 25 at 8 pm ET from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on BET.
