Breakout Canadian crooner Daniel Caesar has given fans everything they’ve been patiently waiting for with his debut album, Freudian.
Released today (Aug. 25), the 10-track project was preceded by the single “Get You,” and features appearances from some of his musical friends and peers including Kali Uchis, Syd (of The Internet), H.E.R., and Charlotte Day Wilson.
After releasing a string of critically-acclaimed EPs, including his 2014 breakout project Praise Break, the singer-songwriter has stated that this project is absolutely his strongest work to date.
“I’ve never been as proud about anything I’ve created in my whole life,” he told The FADER.
Taking to Instagram to thank his fans, Daniel wrote: “Thank you guys so much for all the support. I feel so blessed. My friends and I do this all ourselves and so without you, none of this is possible. I hope you enjoy what we’ve made for you.”
Without wasting any time, Caesar also announced his “Freudian Tour” today. The North American trek kicks off Sept. 10 in Anaheim, CA and makes stops in 24 cities including Philadelphia, Atlanta, New York, Houston, Detroit, Vancouver, Montreal and more before culminating Dec. 16 in Toronto.
