If you weren’t aware already, R&B veteran Sammie is back and we couldn’t be happier! After releasing his acclaimed EP I’m Him in 2016, fans — both old and new — began looking for a full length project from the crooner and today, they finally have it. Aptly titled Coming of Age, the new album shows the now 30-year-old’s transition from young boy to grown man.
Featuring the previously released “Too Long,” “Bad Gal,” and the Rick Ross assisted “Good Life,” the 13-track album is filled with sexual healing and heartfelt lyrics. Serving as a well needed expansion of the previously mentioned I’m Him project, COA is exactly what you needed to start your cuffing season off right.
Equipped with only two features (Ross on the previously mentioned “Good Life” and Eric Bellinger on the club banger “Show and Tell”) Sammie’s newest release proves that his comeback is guaranteed to be strong and well respect. With tracks like “Be Alone,” “Expiration Date,” and “Shoes,” Coming of Age can easily find its way onto your list of best albums of the year.
