24 years since her debut, Toni Braxton is out here thirst trappin.
The R&B legend recently announced that she will be returning with her first solo album in seven years. The project, titled Sex & Cigarettes, will be her eighth studio album, and it is scheduled for an early 2018 release.
Speaking with The Insider, Braxton revealed the provocative title. “I’m excited to be doing what I love doing,” she said. “The new album comes out at the top of the year and it’s called Sex & Cigarettes. I feel like I’m older, I want to say what I feel, I don’t want to be censored.”
On Monday (Sept. 11), she teased the first single “Deadwood” by sharing it’s racey black and white cover art. Toni recently filmed a video for the song as well. “There is this guy in the video who’s super sexy,” said Braxton. “I think we’re going to be seeing a lot of him. He’s great eye candy.”

Braxton’s last solo album was 2010’s Pulse. However, in 2014 she teamed up with Babyface for the Grammy-winning LP, Love, Marriage & Divorce. The following year, she also joined her family on the Braxton Family Christmas album.
Toni isn’t the only Braxton with new music on the way. Her baby sister Tamar is also prepping her new album, Bluebird of Happiness, which is set for a Sept. 29 release.
