JP Cooper continues to deliver compelling emotive records, and the latest sees the English singer-songwriter teaming up with acclaimed U.K. rapper Stormzy.
The song–titled “Momma’s Prayers” is a soulful, choir-laced ballad that brings the best out of both artists. Together they dispel any deterrents by praising their mothers for the courage that was instilled in them.
“I know I’ll be just fine / This new life of mine / I know those hands will catch it all / Yes, I know that,” they sing back and forth.
The heart warming record is the latest release from JP Cooper’s debut album Raised Under Grey Skies, which is due out this Friday (Oct. 6) via Island Records.
