Jhené Aiko took viewers on a soothing ‘Late Night’ trip on Monday night (Nov. 6).
Appearing as the musical guest on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” the soulful songstress delivered her second televised performance in support of her brand new album Trip.
Backed by a harpist, keyboardist and digital drum player, Aiko took the 30 Rock stage in a shimmering purple dress as she performed her smooth single “While We’re Young.”
“I’m tellin’ everybody you’re mine and I like it,” she sang. “And I really hope you don’t mind, I can’t fight it / No, I cannot hide it ’cause I am so excited.”
The performance was a glimpse at what fans can expect on Penny’s upcoming “Trip Tour,” which runs from Nov. 14 in Detroit through Dec. 27 in Honolulu. It will be followed by the European leg of the jaunt, which extends from Jan. 31 in Cologne through Feb. 18 in Antwerp.
