Ahead of her upcoming six-city tour and on her birthday, 10 Summers Records signee Ella Mai has debuted her brand new song, “Naked.”
Yearning to bare it all on the DJ Mustard-produced track, she’s unafraid to get vulnerable but only for a lover who won’t judge. Ultimately, Mai wants to be accepted just as she is:
“There’s nothing I want in this world, more than somebody who loves me naked / Someone who never asks for love, but knows how to take it,” she sings. “Are you ready to fight just to see what’s lost behind my flaws? / Can you love me naked?”
Speaking with The FADER about the release Mai said: “Excited to give my fans some new music for my birthday! In life there are a lot of factors that make you believe you should change yourself in order to be accepted but I just wanted to say that you don’t have to. Can’t wait to perform this record live on tour!”
