Buzzing British songstress Ella Mai finally debuts the music video for her fall 2017 single “Naked.”
The vulnerable song finds the singer yearning to bare it all over the DJ Mustard-produced track. She’s unafraid to open her heart and share her deepest feelings but she’s looking for the right lover who won’t judge.
“There’s nothing I want in this world, more than somebody who loves me naked,” she sings. “Someone who never asks for love, but knows how to take it / Are you ready to fight just to see what’s lost behind my flaws? / Can you love me naked?”
In the Keoni Marcelo-directed video, Ella sings into the cameras while wearing pajamas, additional scenes showcase people of various race, gender, age, body type, and sexuality.
Previously speaking about the song, Mai said: “In life, there are a lot of factors that make you believe you should change yourself in order to be accepted, but I just wanted to say that you don’t have to.”
