Elijah Blake has finally unveiled the anticipated music video for his sensual single “Black & Blue.”
The standout track from his underrated 2017 album Audiology is brought to life in a visual inspired by the classic film Belly, which celebrates it’s 20th anniversary this year.
In the Sean Alexander-directed clip, the Grammy Award-winner channels his erotic side with some modern sexual healing. After getting into an argument with his lady, the two lovers interconnect in a provocative scene of makeup sex.
“Baby, I want your simple and your crazy / No I’m not the type to try to tame it,” sings Blake. “Just when you think you’re at your worst / I’m giving you my best / I think your flaws bring out your greatness / I don’t know who I was before / But love don’t mean a thing without you.”
Elijah Blake has also recently teamed up with artist/producer Ben Strick for the genre-bending duo KaraJishi. They released their first single “Give Up the Ghost” at the end of last month, and have much more on the way.
