Mila J has us holding on to April just a little bit longer with her fourth EP of the year, April 2018.
The songstress has been consistently releasing a stellar batch of new songs each month this year, and her latest delivers once again. With the sound progressing with the “seasons” Mila is bringing everyone along for her journey through 2018.
April promises to be a listening pleasure opening with the lush, acoustic “Run Forrest,” which finds Mila ready to get sprung on love again. “I can’t stop the April showers not from pouring,” she sings. “I think I flopped because the single life is boring / So listen love, I’ll do anything for you / Even if the past is the only thing we have boy / I’ll fall into spring for you.”
Later, she offers an upbeat hometown love track called “Welcome To California,” where she reps her city of Los Angeles to the max. “California dreamin’ / California dreamin’ on a California King bed,” she sings. “I’ll be California dreamin’ through all four seasons.”
