Rising R&B artist Ginette Claudette is bringing New York energy to summer ’18 with the music video for her buzzing new single “True.”
Directed by Spike Jordan and shot in Ginette’s hometown of Washington Heights, NY, the visual captures the vulnerable yet honest lover’s anthem produced by Rico Love.
“‘True’ is one of the most honest songs I’ve put out – wildly specific, yet light and fun,” says Ginette Claudette. “I think we’ve all been in that place before…I definitely have and this song makes me feel better about it.”
Rico Love has been a champion for the singer/songwriter for a very long time, and he saw something special in her during their early sessions.
“I met Ginette almost 10 years ago and I fell in love with not just her voice but her soul,” says Rico. “She works so hard and she is so passionate about her gift! Writing songs with her is always a pleasure and when we worked on ‘True,’ I feel like instantly the entire room felt how special the song was. I pray that it reaches its full potential because I don’t know a person more deserving.”
“True” is the second release off Ginette Claudette’s upcoming follow-up to 2014’s Tainted Emotions, which is due out later this year.
