Rising Republic Records artist Kiana Ledé returns with the second visual off her buzz-worthy debut EP, Selfless. The project is an illuminating earshot of passionate and punctuated emotions, with empowering and reflective lessons on love. The standout, “EX,” finds Ledé recalling when a relationship was drama-free and based on a friendship that she wishes to rekindle.
The sunny visual, directed by Frosting LA, places the songstress in a bring Los Angeles apartment in the early morning. Scenes of her rolling in the sheets and looking out over the city from her balcony are complimented by her angelic tone.
“Let’s skip the awkward run-ins / Pretending like we’re strangers / And get back to how we started,” she sings. “Don’t pour water on fire / Just ’cause it’s different and we’re not the same / Doesn’t mean things have to change / I got no trouble with my pride, got trouble cutting ties.”
Kiana will keep you glued in as she attempts to balance her hopes for the future of their relationship in the dreamy video.
