Eric Bellinger and Nieman Johnson have dropped another single off their upcoming
collaborative project Optimal Music which will be released on April 24. The song features Wale
and RJmrLA who rap about their affection for women and how they feel blessed that the love is
reciprocated.
Linking the songs title to the current pandemic, Johnson says “With everything that’s going on
we want people to know that they are still blessed to have life and family and friends that love
them. Our job is to continue to make music that inspires and provides an escape from this
difficult time that everyone is experiencing. We will overcome this moment together.”
“Blessed” is a song that features the balance of rap and r&b as the smooth flow from Eric’s hook leads to verses by Wale and RJmrLA. The song ends in bars and rhymes thanks to RJmrLA’s flow.
