With their constant challenge to music enthusiasts and the music industry, they insist that artists aren’t defined by just one genre. They’ve decided to create their own sound and genre, New American Soul.
Louis York has worked with some incredible musical artists from Rihanna to Kelly Clarkson, Tank, the amazing Shandellas, Tamia, and so many more. With over one million views for their latest encouraging and uplifting song, “Alone A Lot” featuring the soulful crooner, Anthony Hamilton, as you can imagine, there’s never a down day.
We had the opportunity to speak with the global hitmakers about their musical process when working with different artists, challenges of the business, evolving as an artist, and business owners of their label, ‘Weirdo Workshop.’ We inquired about how they manage the stamina and demands of the industry and everything they have going on.
“We’re ambitious, Chuck and I don’t get comfortable, we don’t get lazy ever. Um, first of all just because we love music as a career, we don’t waste a single day. We have so many dreams, I just feel like even though it may feel like we’ve done so much in our minds we’ve done so little… We got our eyes on film scoring.”
