Platinum-selling artist K. Michelle breaks boundaries with her genre-defying debut on the country scene, stepping out with the riveting track “Jack Daniel’s.”
The vocal powerhouse has taken a bold new turn down a country road — and it’s lined with grit, fire, and southern soul. One of R&B’s most unforgettable voices now brings her raw intensity to Nashville, making history as the first Black woman to partner with the iconic whiskey brand.
With a delivery as smooth as it is searing, K. Michelle confesses the Tennessee whiskey is the “only man she trusts.” Produced by Kristian Bush (Megan Moroney, Sugarland) and Jeff Balding, and co-written with ERNEST, Jordan Dozzi, and Rocky Block, the smoky ballad blends soul and twang in a way that feels both timeless and brand new.
“This is me coming home,” K. Michelle reflects. “Country is in my blood. I was raised on southern soil in Memphis, Tennessee, where soul and country grew from the same roots. This new music is a celebration of where I come from — the pride, the bittersweet, and the whiskey-soaked truth of it all.”
Long celebrated for her fearless storytelling, she now brings that same passion to a new genre, joining the growing ranks of trailblazing Black artists reshaping country music. “This is my story, and I’m ready for the world to hear it,” she adds.
With undeniable star power and more music on the horizon, K. Michelle’s country era has officially begun — and she’s ready to claim her place on Nashville’s front porch.
