Philadelphia is preparing to shine brighter than ever as Wawa Welcome America returns with a bold, culture-rich celebration honoring America’s 250th anniversary. Spanning 16 unforgettable days—from Juneteenth through July 4—the city transforms into a vibrant stage where music, community, and history collide in spectacular fashion.
This year’s lineup is nothing short of iconic. Queen Latifah takes center stage alongside the U.S. Army Field Band & Soldiers’ Chorus, while Idina Menzel joins The Philly Pops for a powerhouse performance. Philly’s own Eve leads the Celebration of Black Music Month, with gospel legend Kirk Franklin bringing soul-stirring energy to Independence Weekend.
The festival proudly embraces global and local culture alike. Latin music queen Olga Tañón headlines Concilio’s Hispanic Fiesta, while hometown favorite DJ Jazzy Jeff sets the tone for the Juneteenth Block Party. Rising star Pink Sweat$ tops the bill at the new Philly Fair 250, and Trixie Mattel brings flair and pride to the Philadelphia Orchestra Free Pride Concert.
“For 35 years, Wawa Welcome America has brought people together in Philadelphia to celebrate the ideals of freedom, liberty and independence that define our nation,” said Michael DelBene, President & CEO of Welcome America, Inc. “
Beyond the music, Philly Fair 250 debuts as a three-day immersive experience packed with hot air balloons, food trucks, fireworks, and family-friendly fun. Cultural staples like the Five Points Night Market, Kidchella, and Free Museum Days return, while the National Constitution Center presents the Liberty Medal to Pope Leo XIV in a globally streamed moment of reflection.
As Mayor Cherelle L. Parker puts it, “there’s no place like Philly when it comes to celebrating freedom—and in 2026, the city proves it on a historic scale”.
