This collaboration offers JayDon unparalleled mentorship from two of the industry’s most esteemed figures, underscoring his exceptional talent and potential in the music scene.

To coincide with the announcement, JayDon releases his new single “I’ll Be Good.” Produced by Sweata and written by JayDon, with co-writers Levens Jean and Vanessa Wood, is a mid-tempo R&B throwback featuring a sample from Usher’s “How Do I Say.” Enhanced by Spanish guitar and rhythmic percussion, the song showcases JayDon’s vocal prowess.
Reflecting on past mistakes, JayDon vows to change to save his relationship: “If only I could show you how much that I’ve tried/Baby, just let me restart, girl if you find it in your heart/Then I’ll be good,” he sings. Formerly known as JD McCrary, JayDon is a multifaceted artist whose career spans acting, dancing, and singing, captivating audiences since his childhood. Born on July 18, 2007, in Granada Hills, California, he began his acting career in 2015 at the age of eight, appearing in two episodes of “K.C. Undercover.” In 2016, he showcased his musical talent by featuring in Childish Gambino’s song “Terrified.” His live performances, including renditions of The Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back” on “Little Big Shots” and “Who’s Lovin’ You” on “The Ellen Show,” highlighted his vocal prowess. At nine, he joined Childish Gambino at the 2018 Grammys to perform “Terrified.” By ten, JayDon became the youngest male solo artist to sign with Disney/Hollywood Records, leading to his role as young Simba in the 2019 live-action “The Lion King.” He also starred as Kenny Payne in the TV series “The Paynes.” In April 2019, he released his debut EP, “Shine,” under Hollywood Records.
