Cassie learns a lesson from the likes of Mary J. Blige, Destiny’s Child, SWV, and TLC on a new song off the Diddy and DJ Prostyle-hosted mixtape “Bad Boy Presents THE PREVIEW.”
Following a verse from Fabolous, the Bad Girl coos over the instrumental for Mobb Deep’s “Shook Ones Pt. II,” recalling R&B jams that played out in real life. So she wrote her own song sharing her experiences and hopes it resonates with someone else.
At the end of the mixtape, Diddy announced that “King of Hearts” will be the first single off Cassie’s sophomore album, due in 2012.
