CHOREOGRAPHER SAYS BEYONCE STOLE ‘COUNTDOWN’ MOVES

By

It was only a matter of time… With each new Beyonce video, comes new allegations of copying or stealing. We all know Bey uses lots of inspiration for her videos, and that is often from past or other original works. After taking heat for lead single “Run The World (Girls),” new allegations claim she stole the dance moves in the recently released “Countdown” video from a Belgian choreographer.

According to AceShowbiz.com, Beyonce copied her routine from two of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s productions.

Keersmaeker was quoted writing on a Danish blog, “I didn’t know anything about this. I’m not mad, but this is plagiarism… This is stealing. They took pieces from Achterland and Rosas danst Rosas.”

“It’s a bit rude, I must say. What’s rude about it is that they don’t even bother about hiding it. They seem to think they could do it because it’s a famous work… Am I honored? Look, I’ve seen local school kids doing this. That’s a lot more beautiful.”

Let’s not put all the blame on B, there are other folks writing treatments, deciding choreographing and directing. But, what do you think?

What Bey needs to do is change her artistic team…it’s seemingly that she needs fresh visionary to continue being ahead of her game. This sort of public scrutiny could very well haunt her one day and damage her career. To much has been invested for rubbish like this to be popping up.
