Here is some good news, and an announcement we have been waiting for. Soulful crooner John Legend is finally prepping his anticipated fourth album and will be releasing the first single this coming week.
The Grammy winning singer/songwriter announced via Twitter that he will be putting out a brand new single titled “Tonight (Best You Ever Had)” featuring Ludacris, expected to hit as early as Monday, January 23. The Phatboi production will appear on Legend’s fourth solo album, the follow-up to 2008’s Evolver, and the soundtrack to the romantic comedy Think Like a Man, which also features the title track by Jennifer Hudson, Ne-Yo, and Rick Ross.
“We’ll be putting out a new single this week. ‘Tonight (Best You Ever Had)’ – Me feat. @Ludacris. Look for it on Monday!” Legend announced via Twitter. “The single will be on my upcoming album (unless y’all hate it!), but it’s coming out on the ‘Act Like a Lady…’ soundtrack also…”
