Name This Song:
“My old lady’s on the other side of town with her ex boyfriend // Drinking again, drinking again // So you choose to lose someone who loves you and a real good friend // For a bottle of gin, a bottle of sin…”
I hope I win because I have been a fan of Anthony Hamilton since I heard “Nobody Else”. such a funky jam from way back in the day!!!
I remember getting a promo in the mail for the Coming from Where I’m From album, and wondering why I had got it, but I really respected what I heard, and felt like I was one of the only people who knew about him in KY. Later on, I would find myself putting my friends on to Anthony Hamilton through that promo, and introducing family members through his live DVD, and CD, and his older music.
I’ve been grooving with Anthony Hamilton since 2003 when he released Comin’ From Where I’m From. His voice embodies soul and is so soothing to hear when you’re in any kind of mood. R&B and Neo-Soul have been blessed with his craft!
