During his trip to NYC last week Austin Brown and Jermaine Dupri were interviewed for AXS TV, on a rooftop in midtown Manhattan. The emerging singer/musician spoke about the lane he is headed in with his music and upcoming album Highway 85, how he connected with JD and why he wanted him to help guide his career. The hitmaker/artist himself addressed a similar question, talking about what he saw in Austin and sees for the future.
In describing his style Austin explained, “I want to be that artist that serves as the gap between the real music of the past and mixes it with the revolutionary spirit of what pop culture is for my generation today.”
Check out the interview above and stay tuned for much more soon…
I hope Jermaine Dupri can get Austin Brown out there in the industry bigger than it is already.
