The Weeknd Expected To Make Impressive Debut

By

The Weeknd is going to be the topic of some interesting conversations next week, if his first-week sales projections hold true. The first commercial release from the Toronto native, Trilogy, hit stores this past Tuesday, and is topping the iTunes charts and selling out in stores.

The 3-CD set which includes mastered versions of his 2011 mixtapes, “House of Balloons,” “Thursday” and “Echoes of Silence,” plus three new songs, is expected to debut in the top 3, moving between 95-105k according to early estimates. A very impressive figure considering the material is mostly more than a year old, and further proof that fans will put down cash or credit for what they feel deserves it.

What do you think of The Weeknd’s sales estimate? Is this impressive, or should he do more or less?
