In honor of Whitney Houston, on the one-year anniversary of her passing, Chrisette Michele visited Billboard to perform a special tribute to the music icon. As part of Billboard’s week-long remembrance of Houston, Chrisette, who was accompanied by Guitar Slayer, performed her own unique version of the late legends 1987 hit, “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me).”
“I study her DVDs,” said Chrisette. “Literally the way footballers take notes before the Super Bowl, I’ll watch a Whitney show before I go onstage.”
